Pledge Requirements

Pledging requirements for this chapter are as followed:

  1. Be a currently matriculated student at Alfred University.
  2. Possess a 2.00 cumulative GPA or better.
  3. Be a student in good standing with Alfred University.
  4. Pay all dues and fees.
    1. Pledge Fee - $30 (due one week after pledge ceremony)
    2. Activation Fee - $35 (due by the end of the pledge period)
  5. Attend all Pledge Meetings.
  6. Attend at least two (2) Chapter Meetings.
  7. Attend at least one (1) Executive Committee Meeting.
  8. Wear your Pledge Pin at all times. Exceptions will be made for athletic events and similar matters.
  9. Pass all tests of pledge material with an average of at least 80%. Tests will include at least one on the Greek Alphabet.
  10. Participate in the planning, preparation, and execution of a Pledge Class Service Project.
  11. Participate in the planning, preparation, and execution of a Pledge Class Fundraiser.
  12. Participate in the planning, preparation, and execution of a Fellowship for the brotherhood.
  13. Obtain signatures of all the Active Members, all other Pledges, at least one (1) Advisor, one (1) Staff Member, one (1) Alumni, and at least two (2) from Active Members of other chapters.
  14. Learn Toast Song.
  15. Be approved by the Active Members.

These requirements are dictated in our chapter bylaws. They are in accordance with policies of this university and the National Service Fraternity.
