Alpha Phi Omega - Epsilon Gamma

Alpha Phi Omega Epsilon Gamma

The Epsilon Gamma Chapter

The Epsilon Gamma Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega, National Service Fraternity, at Alfred University was established on May 18th 1947 and re-established on May 8th 1977.

Although not the oldest chapter in New York State, the Epsilon Gamma Chapter is currently the oldest active chapter in Section 89, Region 2.

Some important events in our history include sponsoring the Alpha Beta Beta Chapter to establish at Saint Bonaventure University in 1983, sponsoring the Epsilon Sigma Chapter to re-establish at the University at Buffalo in 1989, and hosting the Sectional 88/89 Conference of Spring 2003.

In 2007, the Epsilon Gamma Chapter celebrated its 60th/30th anniversary since its founding.

Recruitment & Pledging

Pledging

Our Fraternity runs a series of events at the beginning of each semester designed to give those interested an overview of membership in Alpha Phi Omega. Typical events provide free food, fun, and opportunities for service.

If you decide to join, the Fraternity accepts potential new members into the pledge process. Mentored by big brothers and the Pledge Mentor, pledges begin the period of becoming an active brother in the Fraternity with leadership, friendship, and service.
