About the Competition

The SAE Mini Baja Team at Alfred University is in its 4th consecutive year. It is a Senior Design Project comprising of students mainly in the Mechanical Engineering Discipline. The team is lead by eight senior Mechanical Engineers taking on the project as a Senior Design Project along with underclassman who will insure the Mini-Baja continues to be part of Alfred University’s educational experience. This year Alfred University will be competing in Burlington, Wisconsin.

        Our team is designing, fabricating, and testing the entire project in house. With the help of local businesses, professors, and support from professionals in various areas, the hands on experience gained by our team is invaluable.  After improving each of the last three years, the team is looking forward to continuing its improvement this year.
