| The Keepers
of the Rolling Dragon are a service household, living in the Kingdom of
Aethelmearc, who participate in the SCA. They are a group of ladies,
(and their dutiful husbands,) who like to get together and sew, cook, and
gossip. Although the ladies mostly reside throughout the Barony of
Thescorre and the Shire of Hartstone, no one wishing to play with them is
ever turned away. The Rolling Dragon, herself, is a camper lovingly kept by Lady Nivah, the matron of The Keepers. The camper has been a staple at many an SCA event, and from its depths have been brought forth the fruits of our labors. It is a refuge from the colder days of Harvest Raid, and also from the Pennsic heat. It provides nourishment, all shared from the hands of the Rolling Dragon's ladies. It has housed gifts that were given to gentles far and wide, across the known world. It has provided nap space for sleepy children, and weary fighters. Gentles have been garbed here, fed here, had their wounds tended here. The Rolling Dragon is so much more than a mere RV...it is a symbol of the unity that we all strive for both in the SCA and in our mundane lives. It is a place of friendship where many gather and where all are made to feel welcome.
