InterVarsity Christian Fellowship is on campuses all around the world (IVCF).
The organization exists because it believes that the well-rounded college experience should
include opportunities for growth in the area of Christian faith for those who desire it.
Alfred University InterVarsity offers opportunities for friendship and fellowship in the
context of an Interdenominational Christian organization. Alfred State College students also
participate in the AU chapter. InterVarsity holds large group discussions each Friday night
and a Chapel Service each Sunday morning at 11:00 on the AU campus. Small group Bible
discussions are led by students on various nights of the week usually on both campuses.
AU's InterVarsity Chapter also sponsors many special events during the year ie.
WNY training Retreats, Square Dance, Formal Dinner Dance, Service Projects, Game Nights,
just to name a few. For those who want to participate, Fellowship Meals following the Chapel
services are held once a month in a facility on campus or in the homes of the volunteer staff-workers.
The volunteer support staff consists of couples (and their families) who reside in the Alfred Area.
Several of the volunteers are AU Alumni. Their involvement lends continuity to the organization
from year to year. A warm welcome awaits you!
